Niels Bohr Archive: Topical Image, 2007

Sir Rudolf Peierls (1907-1995) is one of the guests and co-workers associated with Niels Bohr and the University Institute for Theoretical Physics (renamed the Niels Bohr Institute in 1965 on Bohr's 80th birthday), who have 100-year anniversaries in 2007.
Peierls first visited the Institute in 1930. He was a frequent guest in the next years, usually attending the annual Copenhagen Conference, and he made several longer visits in 1938.
